My neighbor has this Lamium (Spotted Dead Nettle) growing in full sun, which may account for the interesting leaf variegation–somewhat different than what you see in plant catalogues. The flower color is a lovely lavender that is more pink than blue. Lamiums are supposed to be grown in shade, but this one seems quite happy in a southern exposure in Zone 5. The plant has not been pinched, so it seems to have a naturally attractive mounded habit. This plant is approximately two years old.
