It’s Aster Season

Symphyotricum ericoides

With the onset of fall comes the beauty of garden and roadside asters. This particularly nice grouping of Heath Asters (Symphyotricum ericoides) is growing in my neighbor’s yard, self-sowing to form a large, airy clump of star-like blooms. The flowers started to emerge slowly  about two weeks ago, and now the plants are thick with blossoms. Click on the photo for a better view.
